Our hearts were overwhelmed by the news of your passing.  You were an iconic member of our community and truly an expert of the Waianae Coast.  For nearly 5 years we were blessed to have such a vibrant, selfless, and knowledgeable person serving on the Waianae Coast Disaster Readiness Team.  We will always remember your Paniolo lifestyle and teachings.  You have made a great difference in many peoples lives and you left an unbelievable impression on everyone you’ve come in contact with.  We as members of the WCDRT we are tremendously grateful for your knowledge and are heartbroken at your passing.  You will always be remembered by us, “Governor of Waianae, Waianae’s Natural Resource, Mr. Paniolo himself, Albert Silva, Sr.”!
